Improvements
Hello! It has been a llooonng time since Amanda or I have written on this blog so I wanted to take some time to get you all caught up to date.
We've upped our game in the picture department and we really enjoy modeling in all our clothes. We give you the in and outs of fit, feel, and whatever else may need to be known. Amanda and I are not models (we both wear a medium in tops and size 10 on bottoms) so you know how clothes will look on a real body. Our MAIN goal is to make sure you are comfortable! So we do not hesitate to share our heights and weights so you know the fit will be great! We've also made a huge effort in the detail section of the clothing so there is never any surprises. If we find an issue with a piece of clothing we will share and explain. Not only do we want you to be comfortable in your clothes but also comfortable with your purchases.
I will be back soon to give you more updates on how we are improving the store to make buy easier and better!

How to dress for the transition of summer into fall
Hello everyone! It's been a while since we've put a blog post up and we think this an important one! It seems like this time of year business start putting out the newest fall fashions and we are no exception! But you're probably confused about why you would buy these clothes now when it's still so hot outside! I'm here to tell you that you will want these clothes when the time comes and if you wait too long those cute styles you saw may be gone!
We want to provide a few tips about how you can manage this tricky time. When it gets a bit closer to fall the weather also gets tricky. It starts off cold and gets very warm during the day. Read the tips below to help transition your wardrobe.
1.Buy lightweight fall pieces that you can layer with a cardigan to shed later when the day warms.
2. Be prepared with all kinds of layering pieces. We suggest leggings, tunics and the always needed cardigan. (Lucky for you, we have all of the above.)
3. Pair those lightweight fall pieces with sandals. Not only does it look cute but it can keep you cool!
4. Introduce some darker pieces into your wardrobe. This is a great way to get into that fall fashion without having to add a lot of new clothes to your wardrobe.
5. Add a pair of opaque tights to a darker summer dress. Nothing screams fall more than tights.
Running a business
I worry a lot about every thing all the time. I worry I'm not being a good enough nurse, that my new business won't be successful or that I'm failing at being a mother. So it was pretty hard for to go out on a limb and start a small business! I think that opening this business hasn't been one of the most rewarding things I have ever done. Not only do I get to look back and see how far I've come but I get to provide an actual product to people that brings them joy! I love the hard work that I put into this business and I love that I have something to strive for. I want to be able to say that I provide amazing quality clothes for the best prices! Plus I get to do all of this with my best friend! It's fun to share all this hard work and success with someone that feels the same way about it as I do.
We want to hear from you! What do you want to see more of or less of? What colors do you want to see? Do we have enough sizes or selection? Do you want to see shoes or bags in the future? Email us at info@cutfromthesameclothboutique.com and let us know!!
Happy Tuesday!
Hi Ladies! Amanda writing to you today. Last week Christy wrote a blog letting you know a bit about her and now it is my turn! To be honest, I wasn't really sure what to write as I consider myself pretty boring! I am a 29 year old professional working with insurance and claims in a large hospital system. I am lucky enough to work with a great group of ladies including Christy! We have a great friendship both in and out of work. We have the same sense of humor and have basically developed a language of inside jokes that even our significant others don't understand! Going into business together was something we had discussed for a long time. We have a similar taste in fashion and knew we wanted to share this with others!
I also have a fantastic boyfriend who is funny, smart, hardworking and supports all my crazy ideas (like starting a boutique with Christy).I practice hot yoga 3-5 times in a week at a local studio. I love it both for the physical and mental challenge it provides me. I also appreciate it as a time to be step away from the demands of my busy life and be "unplugged" for a while! Finally, I am an avid cross stitcher in my spare time! It may sound a bit dorky but it is super relaxing, and I love creating pictures for friends and family.
When it comes to fashion I tend to gravitate toward classic colors and lines. I love stripes, blocking, and polka dots. I want clothes that are low maintenance and fit comfortably. I also love a good bargain! That was one of the goals Christy and I had when creating this boutique. We want all of our customers to feel that they are getting something awesome for a great value and we really feel like we have done that! I love dresses especially shift and A-Line dresses. I was so excited when the weather started warming and I could break out all my favorite short dresses and sandals! I also have somewhat of an obsession with cardigans. I wear them with everything! Cardigans are so versatile and really tie together an outfit. They're like Pringles... you can't have just one.
As we continue to grow our store please let us know if there are things you want to see us carry. We are open to suggestions and want to be your one stop shop for boutique clothing. Feel free to message us here, on Instagram, or Facebook. Talk to you soon!

About Amanda and Christy
Good morning! This is Christy writing today and I want to share some info about Amanda and I. We want for you to get to know us, as we want to know all of you! Please feel free to drop us a line anytime about anything!
I'll start with me and I'll let Amanda tell you her bio. I am a 32 year old, mommy to three kids aged 7, 5, and 4. I also have been the wife of a hard working electrician for 7 years. I am also a registered nurse and proud to admit I have been for a whole decade! I work for a large hospital in Indiana and this also is the place that Amanda and I met.
We have been working together for 3 years and have been the friends we are now for all three of those years. Have you ever met someone and instantly knew you were going to be friends? Well that's the way it was with Amanda and me. We quickly realized that we have the exact same sense of humor, extreme use of sarcasm, ability to mean to each other and enjoy it and our love of clothes! This is the reason we named our boutique "Cut From the Same Cloth." In fact everyone at work remarks on how eerily similar we are and we frequently get asked is we are sisters!
We have always enjoyed shopping together whether online or in stores for cute, versatile work clothes that we would also want to wear outside of work too. We loved boutiques and the unique, one of kind type clothes that could help our wardrobe stand out. But we were also tired of paying high prices. Those high prices were actually the "Aha!" moment we both had when the idea came to us. Opening a boutique started out as a fun hypothetical conversation to pass the time at work. The longer we talked about it the more it began to sound like something we would be successful at.
Here we are several months later and we are living our dream. We are able to provide the type of clothing we love (unique, versatile, affordable, stylish, trendy clothing) at amazingly affordable prices. I hope you feel like you know me and our story better now. I believe that we can provide you with clothing that will help you stand out but not break the bank!! Thank you and have a great day.
Welcome!
